We launched our first game, Salem, as a fun side project in spring 2015, hoping to produce a few hundred copies for friends and family. However, when we launched the game on Kickstarter it received much more interest than expected. We held our breath and began working part time on the next game.
In early 2017 we launched Tortuga 1667 and were again overwhelmed by the support we received from the Kickstarter community. We were then able to quit our day jobs (Travis as a digital marketer, Holly as a 4th grade teacher) and begin making board games full time! Since then we have relaunched Salem as "Salem 1692", as well as our third game, Deadwood 1876.
Salem 1692 and Tortuga 1667 have both sold nearly 30,000 copies and Deadwood 1876 became available to purchase in November 2018. We're very grateful for the opportunity to work from home as a family and share our passion for games with the world.Learn More About the Origins of Facade Games
