We launched our first game, Salem 1692, as a fun side project in spring 2015, hoping to produce a few hundred copies for friends and family. However, when we launched the game on Kickstarter it received much more interest than expected. We held our breath and began working part time on the next game.
In early 2017 we launched Tortuga 1667 and were again overwhelmed by the support we received from the Kickstarter community. We were then able to quit our day jobs (Travis as a digital marketer, Holly as a 4th grade teacher) and begin making board games full time! We have now published 6 games and sold almost half a million copies.
We're very grateful for the opportunity to work from home as a family and share our passion for games with the world.
