It seems like just yesterday that we sent the very first Ides Newsletter. It has, in fact, been 31 days. We've had a busy month designing (and playing pretend with) the coolest money since Monopoly. These little guys will show up in the Deadwood Deluxe Edition launching April 30th!

We recently got in on a little April Fools action and sent 9 Dutch cards to a co-conspirator. Typically there is only one Dutch player (who wants the game to end in a tie). After a whole game of bluffing and heated accusations, this crew was shocked to discover they had each been tugging for the tie all along. Well-played! And yes, the Dutch won.
In the Tortuga Deluxe Edition there will be two new loyalties added to the game: the Spanish and the Mermaid. Learn more when we launch on April 30th!
What we're working on.
There is only one thing more stressful than the month of a Kickstarter campaign: the month before a Kickstarter campaign. We've had lots of late nights putting the final touches on the games, the launch page, the video, and the marketing plan. Good company and tacos have helped! In case you skipped the first 3/4 of this email, we launch on April 30th and we hope to see you there!
The coolest thing we saw this month.
We were fortunate to find ourselves in the path of totality of the recent solar eclipse. We will never forget the skies slowly darkening at mid-day, and then those few minutes where for the first, and perhaps only, time of our lives we were able to stare into the void of our powerful sun.
